Gianna Giordano was born in Staten Island NY, at Staten Island University Hospital and grew up on the south shore of Staten Island. She attended Tottenville High School Science Institute where she was inducted into the National Honor Society. During these years she participated on three competitive swim teams including Wagner College Swim Team, South Shore Swim Team, and Tottenville Swim team. She competed in the New York State Sectionals and was awarded Staten Island Advance All Star for swimming. She later attended Wagner College PA Program where she completed her B.S and M.S in physician assistant studies. While in college she completed various clinical rotations at hospitals, clinics, and offices in the tri-state area, as well as medical mission trips to Guatemala and Peru. While in school, she worked part time for On York Mark Services providing respite home care for mentally and physically handicapped individuals. Growing up with a sibling with autism sparked her passion for medicine and inspired her to become a PA.
