Dr. Anita Jose

Dr. Anita Jose is a board certified infectious disease and internal medicine physician. Dr. Jose graduated from St. George's University School of Medicine. She completed her internal medicine residency training at Flushing Hospital Medical Center and her infectious disease fellowship at Winthrop University Hospital. She served as an internist at a nursing home on Long Island and went on to serve as a full time infectious disease physician before joining Dr. Scafuri's practice in April 2017. Dr. Jose's area of expertise is in the treatment of infectious diseases in adult patients. She is experienced in the treatment of skin and soft tissue infections, respiratory infections, cardiovascular infections, gastrointestinal infections, urinary tract infections, sexually transmitted diseases, HIV, hepatitis, and travel medicine. She sees patients at Richmond University Medical Center, at local nursing homes and in the office setting. Dr. Jose believes in patient centric solutions to medical issues. She takes time to understand a patientís history in order to determine the best options for treatment. Her approach to patient care is grounded in the understanding that each patient is unique and that care has to be tailored to the patient. Dr. Jose is excited and honored to have the opportunity to serve the Staten Island community in her capacity as an infectious disease physician.
